With good weather expected Thursday we are excited for two of our favourite annual school events. During the school day, the students will go to Tuey (Waterwheel) Park in Enderby for a day of outdoor hands on learning. Students will drum, collect and identify insects from water samples, investigate erosion in a group challenge, build sand creations and dissect owl pellets while learning about these amazing noctural predators. Our parent volunteers will host a hot dog lunch for the students. Please send your children with water bottles, appropriate outdoor clothing (layered) and footwear, and snacks. Parents are most welcome to attend. The fun begins at about 9:50 at the park.
From 4:30 -6:00 this same evening we are hosting our Corn Roast and chili dinner at the school. This is a great opportunity for families to meet the staff and reconnect with school friends. The dinner is by donation with proceeds going to our breakfast program. We hope you can make it.
We thank Farmer Johns and Demilles for their generous donations to our Corn Roast as well as to all our parent volunteers and staff that help to prepare the meal.
