Formal Written Reports on the Horizon

Students and staff are working hard to complete units and assessments as we approach our first formal written reports of the year. As you will recall, we sent home written interim reports in October and then hosted our Goal Setting conferences in November. This written report presents a new template the district has adopted this year. Parents will notice a significant change in format, which includes both curriculum overview statements for each subject area as well as specific student comments especially in the areas of reading, writing and numeracy. The proficiency scale also utilizes slightly different language which aligns with the new ministry reporting documents. We welcome your feedback on these new templates and will send out a short survey after reports have been released as a way for you to provide your thoughts on this new format. Reports will be sent home on March 5th.
