New Covid Protocols

As you will likely be aware, on February 4th, schools received new health and safety guidelines from the province. Grindrod School has taken several quick actions to implement these new health expectations such as mandatory full time mask wearing by staff in school and mask wearing of all grade 6/7 students while in school unless seated at their own desks. It is parent/student choice to wear a mask in grades k-5; these students do not have to wear masks in school or on the playground. Our grade 6/7s are also mask free when outside. We continue to adapt our current Covid 19 Safety Plan to meet the new protocols in areas such as gym expectations and distancing in class. Staying covid safe is a top priority for our staff and we have been diligent in the past as we will be going forward.
